Cape Cod BMX is proud to announce the signing of Bike Zone of Cape Cod as the exclusive BMX Retailer Sponsor for the organization. This sponsorship provides critical funding for the organization and also a supply of bikes and protective equipment for new riders to use as they learn the sport.

“We are so pleased with the sponsorship agreement with Bike Zone, as much for the funding as for the ongoing support with maintenance and loaner items,” said Track Operator Tammy Gibbs Thierwechter. “Having a supply of bikes and equipment on site helps new riders experience the support and will be helpful as we look to dramatically grow our base of riders at the new track in Sandwich.”

The sponsorship will feature a minimum of 16 bikes and helmets, as well as trained professional mechanics on site to assist riders with basic maintenance issues and repairs.

About Cape Cod BMX

Cape Cod BMX has continued to grow and improve over the last 40 years. We are ready to relocate from the Joint Base of Cape Cod in Bourne to a new location more families can access at 65 Quaker Meetinghouse Road in Sandwich. As the only track in southeastern Massachusetts, Cape Cod BMX is seeking to build a national caliber bicycle motocross (BMX) race track that will become a “must visit” destination for 1,000s of riders across the eastern half of the United States in the years to come.

In BMX, “No One Sits on the Bench!” Over 100 riders of all ages practice, train, and compete at their own pace throughout the season (April through December). In this unique sport, it’s not uncommon to see multiple members of the same family (children, parents, and even grandparents) involved with racing.
